The Women’s Lobby continues its work in the Civil Society Advisory Panel of the Platform for Gender Mainstreaming and Inclusion in Ukraine’s Recovery, strengthening the systemic approach to gender equality integration and signaling the real needs of women and girls in the post-crisis environment. 📍 On December 16, representatives of the Women’s Lobby joined an event dedicated to the implementation of the “10 Blocks of Gender-Sensitive and Inclusive Recovery” in international projects. For the Women’s Lobby, Blocks 9 and 10 are key – and it is in these areas that the organization has practical experience through systematic cooperation with international partners and the implementation of advocacy campaigns at the EU level and in the international arena. Within the framework of the Panel, the Women’s Lobby focuses on: gender-sensitive international technical assistance as a condition for effective and equitable recovery; support for women’s human rights organizations as carriers of expertise and key actors in advocating for the needs of women and girls. Participation in the Advisory Panel is an opportunity to translate the principles of gender equality into practical solutions and recovery policies together with the state and international partners. The results of the meeting will form the basis of a Resolution with practical recommendations for implementing the principles of gender-sensitive and inclusive recovery in Roadmap projects and activities. The document will be distributed to international development partners and used in planning the work of the Civil Society Advisory Panel for 2026. The event was supported by the Women. Peace. Security: Acting Together” project, implemented by the Ukrainian Women’s Fund with financial support from the UK Government, with the assistance of the Office of the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration and the Office of the Government Commissioner for Gender Policy, as well as with support in organizing the event from UN Women and the Government of Sweden. The event was also supported and joined by the International Alliance for Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery, the Gender Equality Sectoral Working Group for the Coordination of International Technical Assistance, and the expert community that developed the 10 Blocks of Gender Responsive and Inclusive Recovery.
