On January 20, the Civil Society Advisory Panel of the Platform for Gender Mainstreaming and Inclusion in Recovery took place. For the Women’s Lobby, dialogue is a core value. At the same time, the organization emphasized that dialogue without structure does not produce results, so during the meeting, the participants insisted on moving from talks to clear solutions that should be implemented: clear planning logic; defined priorities; measurable indicators of success; cross-cutting gender-sensitive and inclusive approaches in recovery policies. The discussion took place in the context of the European integration agenda and the National Action Plan 1325 “Women, Peace, Security”. The key question was how to mainstream gender in recovery systematically, not declaratively, from regulations to international assistance programs and projects. The Women’s Lobby emphasized that gender equality and inclusion in recovery should not be an “add-on” but a standard – integrated into planning, budgeting, implementation and evaluation of policies. Only then will solutions be effective and recovery be equitable and sustainable. Context/partnership: @ukrainianwomensfund
